I have always loved these for giving pills to my dogs. My Border Collie mix takes 4 pills a day, and this has been the only thing he will swallow with pills in it. He's smart enough to chomp on whatever else I try and then spit the pill back out. These, however, work great. I wish I had read the product description closer, my fault. This is only the 25 count. I can get 30 for only a couple dollars more locally, so will probably just do that in the future. Shipping was fast and my dog loves them, so its still a win. Highly recommend them, as my dog sometimes has a sensitive stomach to treats and certain people foods. He can take the beef or chicken ones, as well. I have to give my dog medicine on a daily basis and he takes them like treats using pill pockets. I normally buy the capsule (as opposed to tablet) size and just pull off as much as I need to cover the size pill Dexter has to take. This makes the product last longer. Dexter thinks they're a treat and just gobbles it down medicine and all.The one draw back for me is the smell of the Allergy formula pockets - it's pretty bad! I've used the beef flavor in the past and don't remember the smell being so bad. I had to stop using the beef formulas because after finally reading the ingredients I found it had chicken broth/stock in it and my dog is allergic to chicken. Not sure why they put chicken of any kind in a beef version but I've found this in many beef products. |
