For those of you wondering about Cetylpyridinim Chloride... The previous posters are horribly wrong... Cetylpyridinim Chloride doesn't work like that. This is the definition from a Doctor of nutrition, aka the people who know EVERYTHING about food and ingredients.

Cetylpyridinium Chloride is the active ingredient that eliminates the bad bacteria in the mouth, which are the cause of bad breath. It is the same ingredient that is used in Crest mouthwash. I am not sure what controversy your customer heard. The only negative effects I know of are tooth staining, poor taste, and altering the tongues taste perception. At the levels used in the Tropiclean FreshBreath it is very unlikely a dog or cat would have any the these effects. While these effects are not desirable, they do not harm the health to the pet.

I trust this information helps answer the customer's concern. If the customer has heard more specific concerns regarding Cetylpyridinium Chloride please forward... Read more

My papillon has always had horrible breath, though the vet says there's nothing wrong with her health or her teeth. I had tried many potential solutions, including the switch to a raw meaty bones diet and vitamin supplements. I was beginning to think I would just have to brush her teeth daily, which she truly hates. But, ever since I began using this stuff in her drinking water, her breath is right as rain. The liquid has a vaguely minty smell, but her breath just smells like wet air, neither bad nor particularly good. Just sort of there. Her teeth seem to be as clean as ever, too, even though I am no longer brushing them all the time. Because she's so small, a two oz sample bottle ended up lasting over four months, so the full sized one should last an astonishingly long time. I never had to use as much as the directions said, but perhaps if I had, then she would smell minty fresh like the liquid does.

I have an adorable Shorkie who had some of the worst breath I have ever had the displeasure of smelling. It got to the point where I'd automatically breathe through my mouth if he got close to my face. I tried sprays, chews, dental treats and nothing seemed to help. He hates having his teeth brushed, so I wasn't going to get anywhere with that.
Then, I tried Tropiclean and whoa, am I glad I did! It took a couple days, but it has really taken the edge off! I can breathe normally again! His breath isn't "minty fresh" by any means, but it doesn't smell like a landfill anymore. It is a huge improvement.
I also like that it's so easy to use. I don't have to fight with Max anymore trying to get him to open up so I can spray something into his mouth or shove a toothbrush at him. I just pour it in his water in the morning and he's none-the-wiser :) He drinks his water as usual, so he doesn't seem to have any problem with the taste.
Now my little lovebug can shower me with doggy... Read more
