I got this in order to start brushing my 41/2 month old puppy's teeth. I've never brushed any of my former dogs teeth so I can not compare to other toothbrushes or pastes.The tooth brush is great. My puppy is a little over 20 pounds and I use the smaller side(I thought I would use the bigger) so if you have a tiny dog even the smaller side might be too big. And the larger side is probably big enough for a fairly large dog. The finger brush I think is fairly useless, I thought it would be the most easy to maneuver but it creates a very large thing to fit into your dogs mouth without very much actual brush on it. And it kept sliding so the brush would not be on the front of my finger. I used it first then quickly changed to the normal brush. All these pacts come with finger brushes though so I dont think you are paying any extra for it. My dog honestly doesn't seem to thrilled about the toothpaste, and again I have not used any other toothpaste to compare it too...
